Fourth of July Goodies - WMNS Pack

Hello lovely people! Today im shining some light on the Nike WMNS Independence Day Pack which includes a Blazer Hi, Dunk Hi, and Air Max 97. The pack is already out at St. Alfred's and other Nike retailers, and should be moving quickly since the holiday is less than four days away.

I'm not particularly thrilled with the contrast stitching on the Air Max and Blazer Hi, but the Dunk Hi is pretty fresh. Otherwise, I think Nike has done an excellent job so far reppin' the ladies...I wonder what else is in store...

Sneak of the Week: 6.23.08-6.27.08

Ok so I took a digital day off yesterday but I'm back today with a very sleek pick for Sneak of the Week:

This Air Max 90 GS is part of a Nike Panda pack which also includes a dunk lo GS. The colorway on this shoe is great, unlike anything I've seen this year. I'm diggin the subtle pink and dark green. The black patent leather detailing also adds a lot of neat shine to it. Additionally there is a flower pattern on the toe box and heel, which looks a little metallicy (<--not a word) but I could be wrong. To tie in the Panda theme, there is a cute lil picture of the furry bear on the tongue. These are a GS release and should be out at retailers like Cty Sports and other spots coming soon.

Peeped this over at sneakernews.com, Lupe Fiasco's custom Air 1 featuring a sleek black and gold colorway with a mixture of patent leather and textile, metallic gold detailing on the swoosh, gold lace caps and "IV" lasered on the shoe tag. So far only four pairs are known to be set for release worldwide, but no further information is available.

I've always been an Air Force One fan. Even in my early sneaker days, I knew that you couldn't go wrong with a crisp pair of all whites and a couple colorful joints. Nike has definitely kept the legacy going in 2008 by creating some simple, yet unique colorways for the classic kicks.

^A beauty aint it? I call this one "Cool Breeze" lol. Notice the textile like pattern on the toe box, tongue and side paneling. Very chill...

Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Volt/White

^This sneak is amazing! The highlighter green might be too bright for some, but I think the ladies will definitely love it. Notably, this sneaker totes patent leather on its toe box and side panel unlike the textile pattern on the previous sneak.

I am digging them both, but may have to run with the Vivid blue joint this time. It just screams summer to me!

The "Volt" is located at select Nike retailers, while "Cool Breeze" can be found this Saturday at St. Alfreds.

Here we have a new pair of blazers for the ladies which are super crute, very simple but with a loud dash of color to pull it all together.

The nubuck material makes me think..eh maybe too hot for summer? But I'll get over lol. These are a good pick for those "What do I wear" days because the colorway is basic enough to throw a white tee on with, but maybe add some pink earrings on ya kno? Court Force Mania!!!

I have been very pleased with the Nike Court Force Hi releases this year, and I must say I have jumped directly on the bandwagon lol. A newly released pair has surfaced on the web sporting the colors of the Jamaican flag.

This sneak has a lot of intricate details including the knit red and yellow ankle mid section, fading rainbow color pattern, and dope "woven effect" detail on the toe.

I am sure that these will be poppin up in some of my favorite shops here in the Chi and on the web soon, I will keep you posted!

There Could Only Be One

YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

After a CRAZY successful season on top, the Celts brought the Larry O'Brien Trophy back to Boston after a 22 year championship drought. I AM SOOOO HAPPY FOR THE BIG THREE!!! Shuttlesworth, ahem, I mean Ray Allen finally found his stroke in the finals when it counted the most, dropping 7 of 9 three pointers to really solidify the lead gained early on. Paul Pierce, named Finals MVP, kept the momentum going and did everything he knew how to keep the team gunning! And my main man KG!!! WOOOO I was so excited for him most of all (Chi-Town BaBY). I remember seeing him do an interview last summer on ESPN when he was still in Minnesota, and the one part I could never forget is him saying "I'm tired of losing, I'm tired of losing." He was so emotional, he made me cry! BUT LOSE NO MORE SIR!!! I also have to give props to the rest of the Celtics squad - Rundo (talk about hustle young man!), Posey, Perkins (bothered my nerves a bit but he played his part), and ya boy Eddie House! All in all it was a great end to a fantastic season! CONGRATS TO THEM!!!!

All Around The World...

I loved the hip hop, late 80s, early 90s feel this song had when I first heard it. But now the video is here and its dope!!! I am also diggin the concept of the year 2088 versus 1988! The stylin for this video is amazing too, although I could do without Lloyd wearin his hair straight, but I digress. I am glad that Lloyd is back on the scene becuz I definitely bumped his last album "Street Love" heavily.

So okay I rarely post anything about customs because they suck, and not in the sense of design and creativity, but in the sense of they're so fresh you or I will never get a pair. But I have been seeing this latest custom on a bunch of other sites and I have become intrigued with its "complex simplicity."

Here is the SBTG x Lazy Custom Dunk Lo "The Paramount"

As you can see the colorway is "Gucci" inspired, and I aint mad at that, who don't like Gucci <---bad grammer anyone??? Additionally, there is a sick black denim used on the front and back paneling, snakeskin swoosh, gum sole, and signature SBTG patch over the laces. No official date, but they will definitely be released via Royalfam

Today I had a revelation...

I LOVE gum...like seriously always have a fresh pack on me. And I know I'm obsessed cuz I go dumb dumb when I see the big packs on sale for .97 at Target or Jewel.

My favorite flavor on the "robusty fruitacular side" would have to be the Strawberry Mint from Orbit (straight crack g)

And on the "keeping your breath minty fresh" side, I'm rolling with dat Spearmint from Extra

One thing that perplexes me tho is HOW THE FLUCK IS GUM SUGARFREE???

and oh yeah I like to keep the plastic wrapping on the package...keeps the freshness in daawwling!

CHA WIZZA YOU DON'T!!!! This bad girl is waaaaaangin'!!! Peep the multi colored polka dots, sexy purple laces, patent leather swoosh and CLEAR sole...oooh weeee lol! Nike is definitely representing the way they should be, and I'm glad to see that this shoe isn't all pink flowers and daisies (not to say I don't like those things, cuz I do lol) but this sneak goes hard! Sneak of the Week: Jordan 7/16 Countdown Pack Anyone???

So this will be the first pack from JB that I have no doubts I will be coppin! Scheduled for release on June 21st, the Jordan 7/16 Countdown pack will include both kicks pictured above. The pack features the Jordan VII (7) a.k.a "Hare" and the Jordan XVI (16).  This pack is HIGHLY anticipated and expected to go fast, as have the previously released packs.

FINALLY!!!!!

So the new album from N.E.R.D entitled "Seeing Sounds" dropped yesterday, June 10th and I must say it is a solid piece of work. I normally base an album's strength on the total number of songs which are at least decent, if not above average. And this joint definitely delivers. My top four tracks are "Yeah You" "You Know What" "Laugh About It" and "Love Bomb" and of course I love their first two singles "Everybody Nose" and "Spaz." Overall, I feel like this album sounds more like a pharrell album than a N.E.R.D project, but I digress. I'm still a huge fan and can't wait to go see them on their own tour!

Lastly, Pharrell is sexy as hell...

Beedee's Daily Forecast

What What?!? Its a whopping 82 degrees in the Chi today (feels like 87)!!! Summer Time Chi anyone??? Aint nothin (yup) like it! Totally didn't wanna come back to work after lunch today...but ya know the gig keeps the sneakers coming. I even picked up a delicious icee on the way back...mixed it up with some blue raspberry at the bottom, pomegrante green type ish in the middle (taste good, believe me lol) and wild cherry on top!!! Mann it was fanfreakntastic! Anyhoo, everybody get out and enjoy it...i think this is the beginning of some consistent weather :)

You Should Know: Air Jordan Olympic 6s (Weekend Recap)

Yo yo yo fam! Over the weekend the highly anticipated Air Jordan Olympic 6s were released at Nike retailers - and on the low low in the Chi! Originally slated for a June 7th release, it was confirmed last week that these babies would actually be released May 30th - and they did! I copped mine at a very reasonable price. I'm hearing that they are very hard to get now but if you are in the chi and need some help, get at me!
