The Return: Full Max Air Units return to Women’s Nike Air Max 95

It is my pleasure to report that the Sneaker Goddesses have heard our prayers to stay (or return) true to form and bring back the Full Air Units on the Nike Women’s Air Max 95.  We began getting shafted a few years ago, with only one large air unit being featured in the heel on a number of AM95 drops, including the OG Grape colorway of last year.  Needless to say, Air Max heads were not pleased with the lack of full air support and apparently, the Swoosh got wind.  The above pictured 95, a tonal grey and light blue color-up, will be the first new pair rocking the old formula. How awesome is that? Air Jordan 1 Low Kids - White/Bright Turquoise/Green Quartz

Here we have a look at a new Air Jordan 1 Low in kids’sizes, and although I would normally be more eh toward a playful look such as the one above, I must admit I REALLY like these.  The supple tumbled white leather, 3D Air Jordan Wings, holographic Swoosh and gorgeous green quartz sockliner and bright turquoise outsole have me swooning. iDig.  You can pick up your pair of these beautiful summer jewels at Finishline.

Nike WMNS Air Feather Hi - New Colorways

The Nike Air Feather Hi has gained a considerable amount of steam since it’s introduction in 2010.  For Summer 2011, we’ll see two additional colorways added to the mix for the laydays.  Wolf Grey and High Voltage (Yellow) are seen on one pair, while the other sports a neutral grey and club purple look.  A mix of nylon and suede add a premium feel to both pairs. Air Jordan V (5) Girls Retro - White/Legacy Red - Scarlet Fire

The Air Jordan V (5) retros just keep rolling out this year, and although I am still peeved at the un-confirmed release of the coveted Laney/Grape AJ5 pack (ie WHY IS IT NOT RELEASING?!), the above pictured GS Retro 5 serves as a nice consolation prize.  Smooth white leather serves as a platform for a Legacy and Scarlet Red midsole with speckled peaks.  The traditional 3M tongue is in toe, along with the translucent outsole we love to see.  A super clean look that the ladies and tiny tots will enjoy.  Coming to a Jordan Brand retailer near you on August 6th as part of a "Strawberry Pack", be sure to stick with sneakHerbox for more updates regarding this model and more!

Fafi x Married to the Mob 2011 T-Shirt Capsule

With all the buzz surrounding the forthcoming Air Jordan 4 'Cement' Retro and Air Jordan 10 'Chicago' releases for the top of next year, you probably haven't given any thought to the possible GS exclusive love we #teamSFS'ers could receive.  Welp, you are in luck! Today, sneakHerbox brings you a look at some Spring 2012 Air Jordan Girls Catalog Scans and please, try to remain calm.  The massive amount of amazing-ness that is coming our way is immense.  What is sure to be most anticipated is the Air Jordan Retro IV (4) Voltage Cherry/White-Black (which is a pink, seen on this retro last year) dropping with what looks to be a entirely nubuck upper. Peek-A-Boo: Nike Sportswear Hyperfuse Women's Preview

I'm sure many of you have heard of Nike's innovative Hyperfuse technology but you may not know exactly what it is.  Well, it's basically a three-layered mesh which provides durable, yet comfy and breathable support to a number of Nike models, including one of the same namesake.  Coming up this year we’ll see a line-up of classic and newly introduced Nike Sportswear kicks for Women featuring hyperfuse technology.  Included in this “pack” will be the Nike W Skinny Dunk High, Nike W Air Max 90 and Nike W Air Feather High in an array of vivid colorways.  All of these looks should be showing up in Nike Sportswear retailers soon, but a few have already been spotted online at stockist Kix-Files.  Take a look at the upcoming line after the jump.  Would you cop any of these kicks? via FreshnessMag. 

Freaky Nail Friday - Monday Edition, lol

I know, I know, I have my days totally off.  I have a good excuse reason though! Welp, actually I don't but I really wanted you guys to check out this sneaker colorway-inspired Mani (some of my twitter followers may have already seen this look, but if you haven't, keep on reading).  I recently ended a 1 month "no-buy" on polish (I mandated a cease on purchasing polish because I really went overboard over the past month), so I bought some new colors.  One of those being a sandy-grey color from the O.P.I. Pirates of the Caribbean collection.  I knew I wanted to do something with polka dots but I had no idea it would really match the Infrared Air Max 90s until I picked the accent color out.  It's a really pretty poppy color that is very reminiscent of the pinkish-orange infrared us sneaker people have come to know and love.

No tutorial today, because I was in a bit of a rush when I did this manicure.  I don't think it really needs one though, it was another very simple look to create and I really only needed was something to create dots (a dotter, bobby pin, old writing pen, etc.) and something to create lines (nail art pen, brush, etc.).  Once you have your colors and tools, you're good to go! That's right folks! This Saturday, June 18th, yours truly along with Chicago's own, Tyler Jones will be at Millennium Park for Ty's Chicago SneakerHead PhotoShoot.  Should be a great opportunity to mix and mingle with sneaker-minded individuals from our hometown and also be nice way to highlight yourself and some of your favorite kicks.  Don't worry if you don't have anyone to come with or don't "know anyone" who will be there, we don't bite! Asics x Sneakersnstuff GT -II - Releases Tomorrow, Saturday, June 18th

You've probably been hearing news about Asics x Ronnie Fieg projects all year, but make no mistake, the Asics x SNS collaboration is one to check for.  The inspiration behind this particular colorway comes from the runestones (which are inscribed stones created to mark territory and/or pay homage to deceased loved ones) SNS founders Peter and Erick saw growing up in Sweden.  Those runestone inscriptions are represented on the GT-II, which happens to be one of their favorite models, in the form of letters written on the signature cross lines on the sidepanels as well as on the insole.  Perfect execution! Not only is this collaboration a must for Asics lovers but luckily, the size run goes from a boys 4 to a mens 13 - OH JOY! The countdown to the release has already started on the sneakersnstuff website, so be sure to stay glued to your mouse tomorrow afternoon!

Forfex x Sanrio 50th Anniversary Collection

As part of the 50^th Anniversary celebration of the Sanrio brand, the collabs just keep on rolling in.  This time around, we get a touch of fresh footwear air from Italian footwear company, Forfex.  Three models, the Space Boot, Rotten Hi, and Rotten Lo will feature an all-over print with four different Sanrio characters, My Melody, Badtz-Maru, KeroKeroKeroppi, and of course, miss Hello Kitty.  Also included in this collection will be accessories such as an iPhone 4 case, commemorate bag and shoe box, as well as three t-shirts. Reebok Freestyle – Classic Vintage Collection

With the recent 25^th Anniversary “Reign-Bow” collection celebrating the Freestyle’s iconic footprint in footwear history, the model has gotten a crazy jumpstart back into the line of fashionable sneaker attire.  Since 07, there have been a gang of classic collaborations and an insane amount of colorways, but how could we possibly forget the Classic White which started the Freestlye Frenzy back in 82? To commemorate, Reebok will be releasing a number of it’s legendary models in a vintage-styled white colorway as part of the Classic Vintage Collection.  The freestyle keeps it trill OG with a white soft garment leather upper and pre-tinted outsole.  ME LOVEY.  I’ve always had respect for this model and for nostalgia purposes, these are a must have. More info on the drop to come soon, stick with sneakHerbox for the deets! via SF

Air Jordan 1 Canvas Hi GS –Medium Grey/Lemon Frost – White – Filament Grey

Following up with the same color scheme as the CMFT Viz Air 13s we posted earlier this week, this AJ1 High Canvas model matches the Viz 13’s swag and serves as an adorable alternative for folks who prefer numbered retros.  The upper is predominantly covered in light and lighter shades of grey with a boost of color coming from the brightly yellowed outsole.  Do Like J

Nike WMS Blazer Mid Canvas - Light Bulb & Chlorine Blue

Two very respectable Nike WMS Blazer Mids will be hitting retail shelves for the wimminz.  Monochrome's the game on both pairs, which are wrapped in a solid color canvas with matching outsole.  As much as I am a fan of blue, the light cream pair is so messwithable.  iDig.

HMPH, ya'll know I love glittery, shedangly type stuff right? Even more haute haute hauteness from the Liberty Fabrics x Nike collaboration.  This go-round, we have two additional Nike Air Force 1 Low Premiums featuring brilliantly colored geometric floral prints. Here we see a new Air Jordan CMFT Viz Air 13 in a snazzy colorway for the laydays.  Three simple colorways - white, grey & yellow (lemon frost) - compliment each other extremely well.  You may not be a fan of the CMFT Viz Air line, but you can't front on this cw.  Perfect for the tiny tots and small footed females.

Cincinnati Sneaker Showcase 2011 - Recap

The stars aligned over the weekend to bring the sneaker elite out to Cincinnati for the bi-annual Sneaker Showcase, brought to us by the great folks at Corporate with proceeds from the event going to the Shining Star AAU program.  Despite staying at the event's hotel, my fam and I arrived a bit late to the actual event, but I was still able to get some good snaps of the vendors and collector's tables.  I also got a chance to catch up with some old sneaker friends as well as meet some great new people.  At these kinds of events, it's rare to see much merch in my Size, but I was able to see a plethora of things (older and recent) from WindyCitySole's table, so that was pretty cool.  The sneakerdude to sneakerette ratio was about 10 to 1 but the ladies that were in attendance definitely held it down, with a nice variety of kicks, and a slew of #teamVashtie chicks rocking her Air Jordan II retro which released back in October 2010, myself included! I expected to see at least one other chick in those IIs, but there was about 4 (or 5) of us, lol.  That didn't stop the merriment tho, still had a great time and an amazing weekend.  Special thanks to Matt and SneakerDave for their hospitality, and shoutouts to Chad (OSD), ShowiDeez, Rox (Team L.a.r.k), GK (mysoletokeep), Fee (FSF), G-Roc (TSG), Oscar & Jose (Modern-Notoriety), Premium Pete (SneakerTube.tv), my SP family Joanna, Stephen, Daven (Winner's Blvd), Monica & Sergio. Air Jordan V (5) Retro GS - White/Varsity Red - Obsidian

Just in time for the 4th of July (and considering I haven't seen any pictures for the Nike Independence Day GS pack) we have pictures of the forthcoming Air Jordan 5 Retro - White/Varsity Red -Obsidian in Grade School sizes.  Initially, I was very meh at the idea of a AJ5 sporting patent leather, to me, it just seemed unnecessary.  However, considering the patent is only on the toe cap and lower heel, I should be able to get over it.  I really like the clean design and crisp colorway.  A bit of shedangliness is added with speckled peaks on the midsole, and I like! If you do too, be sure to hit up your local Jordan Brand retailer on July 2nd.  via dunk.

Converse x Marimekko - Fall 2011 WMS Footwear Collection

As a continuation to this past Spring's collaboration, Converse revisits Finnish fashion house Marimekko for a new line-up of classic kicks.  This go-round will feature original prints, the Unikko and Paprika, made famous by Maija Isola, as well as two brand new designs, the Kaleidoskooppi and Poni, created by up and coming Marimekko designer, Maija Louekari.  Some of our favorite Converse models will be used once again for this collection, including the Chuck Taylor Ox and All-Star Hi and revamped Helen.  Sweet :)


The Fall 2011 Converse x Marimekko collection will be available at select Converse retailers as well as online at Converse.com on June 23rd, 2011.

YSK: Air Jordan 7 (VII) Retro GS - White / Bronze-Cardinal Red-Black - Now Available

Coming up on June 18th, we'll see the re-release of a classic Air Jordan 7 Retro.  The 'Cardinal' AJ7, nicknamed after it's colorway, will see only it's 3rd time on the shelves of Jordan Retailers around the nation and will surely leave stores quickly.  I bought the 2006 retro back in 08 and was so in love with how regal this particular colorway looked.  I happened to sell my pair a couple years later due to size issues (bought a 5, wear a 4.5, creasing FTL).  I'm so pleased that these will be available in GS sizes, which is surely good news to many SFS'ers out there.  If you can't wait til the 18th, you can pick up a pair now over on Sneakerhead.
