Air Jordan I Retro High GS - Wolf Grey - Spice

I saw the above pictured AJ1 about two weeks ago when pictures of Jordan Brand’s Summer 2010 collection hit the web. As much as I wanted to be excited because of the wickedly awesome colorway – I couldn’t get “outta my mind” because I thought they would be a men’s only release. Luckily, I happened to come across GS stock of this pair recently online. You can cop yourself a pair now from eBay store FootSoldiers.

Nike Air Max 95 GS - White/Metallic Gold Straw - Deep Royal - Challenge Red

Today mark’s the first day of Summer and we are steadily approaching the biggest holiday of the season – INDEPENDENCE DAY! I look forward to seeing what 4th of July inspired kicks will drop each year, and I am UBER pleased with the above pictured GS offering. Show how much you like to Party in the USA with this Nike Air Max 95 as it sports very patriotic red, white and blue colorway. We see accents of gold on the air unit and embroidered swoosh on the side rear panel. I absolutely LOVE the royal blue outsole and the all white upper is super clean! Red can be seen on the sockliner and laceloops – while the shoe is completed with what looks to be stars on the upper heel. THESE ARE SO DOPE! Retail on these is 95 bizucks – which seems to be standard for GS AM95s nowadays. You can pick up your pair now at NDC! More pics after the jump.

Peek-A-Boo: Nike WMS Fall 2010 Footwear Collection

Last week’s shifty weather here in Chicago brought some chillier than normal Spring days. Wearing a hoodie in June made me think of Fall and of course – what kind of sneakers I’d be rocking. My theory is, when the leaves change, so should the colorways of your kicks. Olive Green, Dark Red, Deep Brown, and Burnt Orange are just a few of the colors that come to mind when I think of the season, and Nike’s Fall 2010 Women’s Footwear line-up seemingly tackles each of those colors plus more on some classic models and new soon-to-be favorites. Most exciting being the collaboration between Nike and renowned textile giant Maharam, who’s fabric we’ll be seeing on a slough of Nike Skinny Dunk Highs this Autumn. I am already pleased with this tasteful collection! Well, enough of my words, view the pics for yourself after the jump, all courtesy of Freshness Mag :)

What's New @ NDC: Nike Air Max 24-7 Girls - White/Marina Blue - Metallic Platinum

There has been a boom in colorways for the Nike Air Max 24-7 models - most of which have been for either men or women only.  Well, now its time for the even smaller footed femmes to get in on the action as a new colorway just for girls has dropped.  Metallic Silver covers most of the shoe's upper which gives you a real AM97 feel, while the lace loops and outsole come in Marina Blue - aww, this blue is so cayute! Retailing at $120, we see a slight decline in price compared to the $160 price tag the women's AM 24-7s tote, so if you can fit a size 3.5Y to 7Y, you might wanna take advantage of these.  More pics and a link to purchase after the jump.

The Return: Nike WMS Air Max 95 – White/Grape Ice - Jade – Neutral Grey

SOOOOOO yesterday during my Akin Grand Opening recap, I mentioned a lil something something about a Grape-esque Air Max 95 being spotted on the scene, and hoping that it would drop GS. Wellz, today as I perused NDC, I happened to notice the ORIGINAL WMS Air Max 95 “Grape” laying real lowkey on the site. There is a FULL size run so these are definitely a re-release of the classic and I am STOKED! Be sure to head over to NDC (click it!) or to your local Footlocker to pick up your pair!

SBeezies: Nike Skateboarding Releases June 2010

This month’s Nike SB package includes a “trick or treat” esque Dunk High, brightly colored Salazar, and a vivid blue Classic High. Nothing to write home about but not *Charles Barkley voice* turrible either. Check out the pics of Uprise’s stock after the jump.

Air Jordan Retro VI (6) GS - White/Varsity Red - Pre-Order @ Citysole

So, if you follow JB news like everyone else seems to be doing I do, you’re probably already well informed about the hoopla surrounding this month’s Air Jordan Retro 6 Infrared Pack, which for the record – is a limited release and will not be in grade school sizes. In anticipation of an inevitable little footed riot – JB released a Black/Varsity Red Air Jordan Retro 6 in both men’s and kid’s sizes – with a darker shade of red than that of its infrared counterpart. These dropped last year, prior to the official word on the Infrared Pack so for the most part, heads were okay with the idea. Then 2010 comes along and the Pack speculation began to build and build until we received official release confirmation in late March. Although some folks were doing the rain dance out of sheer happiness, a good majority of us were like WTFudge? What was the purpose of releasing the Varsity 6s if a similarly colored (and more sought after) Retro would drop the following year? As you might’ve imagined, we never received an answer. And as if that wasn’t enough, we also got word that a white and varsity red AJ6 would be releasing THE SAME MONTH as the infrared pack. Geez willikers. Wellz, unfortunately for us S.F.Ser’s we don’t get the option of purchasing the pack, but we DO get a chance to cop the White and Varsity Red 6s (seen above) when they officially drop June 12th. In my personal and superior opinion, these babies are smoking, so I am pleased nonetheless. Now enough of my long winded rant, head over to Citysole now to pre-order your pair which will be shipping out June 8th.

And They Say Chi-City: Akin Grand Opening - Lincoln Park

There truly is power in numbers, and the good folks over at Akin Chicago are seemingly mastering the phrase.  The second store of its kind opened over the weekend in Lincoln Park to a host of sneaker heads and streetwear fans.  For the opening, there were "real mannequins" modeling some of the store's merch in the storefront windows as well as on platforms in the store.  It looked soooooooooo sweet, I really dug the idea! The store's interior held clean product sections of men and women's footwear (including Nike, Jordan, and Adidas), along with a great selection of apparel.  There many activities and treats lined up for the store's patrons, including hot dogs, elotes (or mexican corn :), and fruity flavored snowcones.  Entertainment was provided by Chicago's own Footwork Kingz and rap duo The Odd Couple.  Raffles were held throughout the course of the event, with one lucky winner walking away with the original Air Jordan DMP (6 and 11). The Akin crew also kept it FRESH sporting the yet-to-be released Nike Air Max 95 "Grape" model.  Those joints are FUEGO in person - man I hope they drop GS! Anyhoo, as expected, I had an awesome time at the event and am very happy to see the culture flourish in such a manner here in the city.  I wish those guys continued success :)  Check out oodles of pics from the event after the jump.
