Collabos: Hello Kitty x Reebok PT-20

Um, YEAH. Most of my readers and close friends know that I am a Hello Kitty fanatic.  When it comes down to it, that leedle cute kitty is the bees knees to me, and I typically like to own whatever merchandise I find her on.  Wellz, in the past, I've seen some not so great sneaker collaborations featuring my fantastic feline friend, but Reebok always manages to deliver.  The above pictured PT-20 model gets the fluffy treatment in the form of furry material used on the entire upper in three different colors - black, white, and pink - all with a big red bow on the side - mimicking that of a HK stuffed toy.  The finishing touch comes with the clear outsole featuring Hello Kitty's lovely mug, ah TOO CRUTE!  As of right now, these are set to drop in November via Japanese store Atmos.  Hopefully, ebay will get a few pairs in my size word will drop about a U.S. release, my fingers are most certainly crossed :) More pics after the jump!

NIKE...must you SNAP like this?!?!

As if the previous of the Nike Air Max 24/7 cws weren't FUEGO enough, the Swoosh drops another colorway bomb pictured above.  Lemon-y yellow tints the signature full air unit on the outside, while metallic silver synthetic leather wraps the lower panel of the sneaker. Cascading shades of grey can be seen near the heel and a black inner lining seals the deal.  TALK ABOUT HAVING IT MY WAY - Nike, you did that. I DIG THESE!!!

Married to the Mob x Reebok "Double Bubble" November 2010

Most of you know that as of late, I've had a love/hate relationship with the MTTM brand, partly due to there being a lack of, IMO, creative expansion on the apparel end.  However, I've always been more than pleased with their collaborations - specifically sneaker collabs - which are always fresh, funky, sexy and badass, just like the Ms Leah McSweeney herself.  This morning's casual browse of my fave sneaker sites led me upon the DOPE FUGGIN HOTNESS you see above. Once again, Reebok has twerked it out with MOB to create a stunning colorway for the Reebok Freestyle Double Bubble.  Very similar to the Reebok Freestyle Hi we saw back in 08, the Double Bubble features a higher ankle and additional strap.  The vibrant cobalt blue suede upper, gum outsole, and rose gold embellished signature MTTM lips logo and tongue accents SCREAM luxury.  I love them. I want them. I wilst have them. Dropping November 1 and retailing at $100 (beauty on a budget!), this limited release will be available at Karmaloop, UNDFTD, PickYourShoes, and Michael K. SneakerPimps Chicago 2010 - Recap

Over the weekend, SneakerPimps rolled into Chicago with a “back to the essence” feel that only this kind of event could achieve. Live music mixed with previews of upcoming sneaker releases from Nike and Jordan Brand really set the tone for a great evening. Couple that with the dope game station set up by NBA Jam and a few drinks, and you’ve got yourself a grood Saturday night.  Some of the highlights for women's footwear in 2011 include new colorways of the Nike Gladiator sandal, as well as the use of sexy satin on the Nike Air Royalty Mid (will be updating with pics later, camera is being a wuss).

Among the musical guests keeping the crowd hype were Phil Ade (check out his mixtape The Letterman here) and PayPa of Project Mayhem, as well as Chicago’s own Mikky Halsted and GLC (G.O.O.D. Music!!!).  Special Guest and Wu-Tang capo Raekwon was also in the building and ended the night on an awesome note.  I had a great time catching up with sneaker friends and fam – I look forward to many more sneaker-friendly events in the city. Special shoutout to  Sergio for the pics on behalf of the Sneakherbox team.  Check out all the pics belowzies J

Nike presents 2010 Halloween-Inspired Kicks - Girls & Boys

All Hollows Eve is steadily approaching, so you know what that means - HALLOWEEN INSPIRED KICKS FOR THE KIDDIES AND SFS'ers! A couple weeks ago, I got a chance to view some of the kicks dropping for the Holiday (thx Jose!) and I was immensely impressed.  In the past, we've seen product featuring black and orange kicks with ghostly patterns adorning nearly the entire upper. Although "cute" for the moment, the design really limited your ability to rock those kicks year round.  Well not this year! The Swoosh decided to keep some of the key elements which have been successful in the past and tweak them a bit to make them more practical for rocking on any occasion. Included in this year’s pack are two Nike Air Max 95s – one for girls and one for boys.  The boys’ AM95 totes a glow in the dark material on the mid panel, a cool element that is very relevant to the season.  It’s also used on the above pictured Black and Electric Green Nike Dunk High and will be a plus for kiddies trick or treating on October 31.  The girls AM95 is by far, my favorite pair of out the line-up.  Black patent and smooth leathers cover the upper panels surrounding the signature AM95 mesh while metallic silver creates a funky and fun look on the lower panels.  Vivid pink accents the outsole, lace loops, and tiny swoosh near the heel.  The inner lining is decked out in a crazy striped pattern, also seen on the Girls Dunk High up top, which adds a spooky flair to these pairs.  Retail for the Dunk Highs are 70 bucks and the Air Max 95s are rounding out at about 95 bucks.  Available in sizes 3.5Y to 7Y, you can grab as many pairs as you like right now at NDC - direct purchase links and more pics after the jump.

Nike WMS Air Max 90 - Obsidian/White

In addition to the below posted AM90 for kids, a new Women’s Air Max 90 is available at Finishline in a super neat Fall colorway.  Obsidian has to be one of my favorite sneaker colors seeing as it is so basic yet stunning.  The above pictured pair features classic mesh (+500) on the toe box and ankle accent, while synthetic leather covers the rest of the upper, all in a deep, rich blue.  The side accents receive a patent leather plaid pattern which, I honestly think should have could've been omitted.  Anyhoo, if you are feeling these as is, hit the link below (where it says finishline) to purchase your pair.

Nike AM90 Kids - Black-White/Blue- Red - Volt

A new kids Air Max 90 colorway recently hit Finishline.com and I must say there are some really fun colors on this one.  A predominantly black upper gets hit with some spunk with a red outsole and volt yellow accent surrounding the air unit, which, happens to be the same blue and the shoe’s lining.  A white midsole and swoosh finish the look, keeping it very nice and simple.  Retailing at $75 bucks you can check these out now at the direct link below.

Air Jordan Holiday 2010 Girls Collection

This time last year, JB’s Holiday 2009 collection included lot’s o’ pink – as seen on the White/Black – Pink AJ 60+ and Air Jordan 1 Retro.  This time around, pink is still undeniably in rotation – but various shades of my most favorite color are used, making this year’s collection aesthetically pleasing to an adult-eye.  Some of the kicks we’ll see are the AJ13 Black/Volt –Cherry and Anodized AJ1s which we posted a little while ago.  Also included in the mix is the Spizike Winterized Boot – which, for the record, I LOVE…along with a couple 6-Inch Jordan Flight 9s and Jordan SC-1s.  It's clear that JB has taken into consideration that not all sneaker people are kids or men, as this collection involves more mature materials and colorway options.  I expected to be slighted once again in the realm of higher quality and design elements, but I can see that in some ways, the brand is trying to step it up.  We still have a ways to go, but these small improvements are appreciated.  Check out all of the pics from the Jordan Brand Holiday 2010 Girls collection below and enjoy!
