Freaky Nail Friday - Sneaker Colorway Inspired Nail Art: Reebok BACK!

Yeah, I finally got it together and posted a sneaker mani on Friday, whoot! Gold Star for myself, lol

Today's manicure was inspired by one of the most shedangly sneakers I own.  The Reebok Freestyle Hi "Disco" released in 2008 as part of Reebok's ongoing 25th anniversary celebration.  I picked this pair up in store at St. Alfred here in Chicago and wore them about a day or so after purchase. I was THAT excited.  The gold painted leather glistens in the light and really catches the eye. Dashes of light green and pink add a flirty element that I really like, as well as the purple and pink polka dot sock liner. Snazzy! Ladies Only: Claw Money x Nike - Re-Release Available Now

Just a year prior to the birth of sneakHerbox, the first women's sneaker collaboration between Nike and fashion house Claw Money took place and was a major hit among fierce female sneaker enthusiasts.  I spotted the news of the re-release over on the FSF blog and when contributor Miss AtheGrreat hit me and fellow sneakernistas up about which pair to cop, I knew I had to post! Originally released in October of 2007, a mix of Nike Vandals and Blazers designed by brand chief Claudia Gold's alter ego - Claw Money - instantly became fan favorites and definitely one of the most notable Nike collaborations ever.  As with the first release, these will only be available for a limited time and in limited quantites - so don't wait - head over the CM's online store now!

Air Jordan V (5) Retro GS - Black/Varsity Red - Metallic Silver - Detailed Images

You probably already know that the Air Jordan V (5) Retro - Black/Varsity Red or "Metallics" as they are often referred to as, is set to drop in just a couple of weeks.  What you probably haven't seen, however, are detailed images of the grade school sized retros.  You are in luck today! The last time we saw this pair on shelves was in 2007, and staying true to (retro) form, they share the same black nubuck upper, speckled "peaks" and 3M tongue.  A slight blue tint can be seen on the outsole and we get varsity red instead of fire red but, generally those additions are not dealbreakers.  The release date is currently set for August 20th so in the meantime, check out this GS look via Caliroots.

Nike SB Dunk High Pro "Plum" - September 2011

Let me start off by saying that, I have not bought one pair of SBs this year.  Sure, that could definitely be filed under "no1curr" but, I preface this post with that pertinent information because I think this pair could put an end to my "SB no-buy" situation.  The Plum High scheduled to drop this Fall gets its look from the Nike SB Dunk  Low Plum released in 2001.  Of course, finding a pair of the original is rare if not impossible, but the revamp coming in September will serve as a nice consolation prize.  And since the Nike SB line usually shows the small footers love with models going all the way down to a size 4, chances of ol Beedee copping a pair are very high.  Be sure to check back with sneakHerbox for retailer info when it becomes available.  A few more shots after the jump, get to it!

Sneaker victory continues to be ours ladies, with new colorways for recently introduced models dropping left and right.  Today we get a look at two new Nike Toki Mids - each with a colorful striped canvas upper.  The bold berry pair keeps it fun with purple and white stripes, while the multi-colored pair adds some swag to the mix with a bright pink (cerise) and other vivid colors.  LOVE. Nike WMS Blazer Mid - Marakesh/Marakesh

Following the same sneaker suit as the Scarlet Fire Blazer Mid we posted, here we see a creamy orange colored Blazer Mid for Fall 2011.  The perforations and skinny laces are still in toe, and we are digging the mix of synthetic and smooth leathers.  Sweet. More sneaker goodness for the wimminz this morning! The Blazer Mid has been relatively quiet on the releases front this year, so it's nice to see some new things up ahead.  This perforated deep red blazer mid sports silver metal lace holes and skinny laces. Definitely a step away from the traditional, but change can be a good thing.  Expect these to hit shelves soon.  via 147.

Nike SB Dunk Low Pro "Gold Dust" - September 2011

Earlier today, we gave you a look at an upcoming Spring 2012 Nike SB Dunk release, and while that does seem to be very far away now, we have some good sneaker news for you to look forward for this year.  This Nike SB Dunk  Low Pro comes in a gold-toned canvas upper, with red outfitting the inner lining, and a black swoosh and outsole finishing off the package.  Check for these to hit your local Nike Skateboarding retailers in September. via NSB.

Air Jordan III (3) Retro GS - Stealth/Varsity Red - Light Graphite - Black

Retro Jordan colorways can be a hit or miss amongst fans of the brand.  We think this upcoming Stealth AJ III  will be a fan favorite.  Smooth light grey colored nubuck covers the upper, with signature elephant print detailing around the heel and toe cap areas.  White contrast stitching and varsity red accents elevate what could have been a very dull and monochrome pair to a winner. Don't sleep, these babies drop on September 3rd at Jordan Brand retailers nationwide.  If you can't wait til then, you can check out the everythingshoes listings on eBay.

Nike WMNS Air Max 90 - High Voltage

Over the past few weeks, we've shown you a few of the sneakers that are part of the Nike Women's Hyperfuse Sportswear collection, including this Air Max 90 from last week.  Perhaps Hyperfuse isn't your thing though? Well, Nike has thought of that as well, releasing a new women's AM 90 with the traditional smooth leathers and mesh decked out in a brilliantly colored yellow.  I LOVE BRIGHT KICKS, so these are a cop for sure. Nike SB Dunk Mid "Un-Tiffany" - Spring 2012

Welp, if it ain't broke, don't fix it huh? It seems as though the Swoosh has applied that theory to a number of a their sub-lines, re-hashing popular themes and colorways on a variety of different models.  This time around, we see a Nike SB Dunk Mid in an "Un-Tiffany" scheme, with the traditional Tiffany blue (or green) taking prominence on the upper.  No croc textured print here, just pebbled black leather and smooth suede. Sure, this is a very stripped down version of the original, but we give it an A for effort.  Be on the lookout for these to hit skate shops sometime early next year.  Check out a couple more images after the jump. via NSB.

Although it seems like Summer just began, a lot of our readers will be heading back to school very soon.  What better way to get in gear for the upcoming school year than with some new kicks? Air Jordan V (5) Retro Girl's- White/Legacy Red - Scarlet Fire - Detailed Images

The upcoming "Strawberry Pack" from Jordan Brand will feature the Air Jordan 1 Phat we previewed over the weekend, an as-of-yet seen Jordan Sky High Low and the above pictured Air Jordan V retro.  A simple white, red, and pink color combination is used for each of the models included in this pack and this AJ5 keeps it very clean with a smooth white leather upper, red midsole, and white speckled pink "peaks" on the outsole.  The official release date for this pair is August 6th, however, there are pairs already popping up in eBay stores, including everythingshoes.  Take a look at nearly ever angle of this new retro 5 after the jump.

Just when you thought you'd seen the last of the Liberty Fabrics x Nike collaborations, Nike drops yet another Nike Skinny Dunk Hi featuring a patterned Liberty Fabrics textile upper.  Not much to say here, as this particular looks speaks for itself.  via Rakuten.

Maya Moore's 1st All-Star Game PE

Jordan Brand's first female basketball athlete, Maya Moore, was super excited to play in her first ever WNBA All-Star Game over the weekend.  The East eventually outsted the West, 118 to 113, but Maya looked dope throughout the game.  She switched up her look by rocking two different Fly Wade PEs - one for the first half of the ASG, and another for the second, SWAG! Nike Zoom Kobe VI GS - Multi Color/Concord - Black - White

For the Kobe VI fans, a new colorway has popped up on Nike.com in grade school sizes.  There have been a couple of camouflage dropping in Men's sizes only, so it's nice to see some love for the small footers this go-round. If you're feeling these, you can order a pair online at Nike.

Air Jordan 1 Phat - White/Legacy Red - Scarlet Fire

The great GS releases just keep on coming! Back in June, we posted an Air Jordan 5 from the upcoming "Strawberry Pack" that features a white, legacy red and scarlet fire colorway.  Today, we get a quick look at that pair's cousin, which shares the same holographic "diamond swoosh" as this AJ1 we posted earlier this month. With color blocking reminiscent of the "Hare" Air Jordan 1 of 2009, these might be a pass for some, but if you missed out on those, these might be your next best bet.  The Air Jordan 1 Phat White/Legacy Red - Scarlet Fire is available now on Finishline in Preschool sizes only, but we anticipate a GS size run dropping very soon. Nike Air Diamond Turf GS - White/Black - Varsity Royal

If you’ve been wondering if this Air Diamond Turf colorway dropped in kid’s sizes, the answer is yes.  The white/black – varsity royal cdub is new for this summer and exhibits a similar color pattern as the original white/black – sport red Diamond Turf, which retroed last June.  I haz excitement! GS pairs should already be in select Nike retailers, however, you can also order a pair now from ebay store, Footsoldiers.

Nike WMNS Terminator High Premium - Two Colorways

The Terminator High hasn’t received a lot of play in the past couple years, but the two latest looks for women could be considered stellar comebacks.  The Nike WMNS Terminator High pictured up top features premium leather (swanky!) with a completely "perforated" swoosh.  Cool mineral blue and neutral wolf grey are your color options for this set, and although they are out now, I think they’d be a dope look for the Fall.  Get a gander at some additional looks of both colorways after the jump. via Dunk.

Yet another sneak peek at a new Nike Dunk colorway for the kids (and small footed ladies).  This time, we see a mix of smooth and textured leathers with a patterned metallic silver and black ankle accent.  We're hoping to see these in stores come August, but keep it locked to sneakHerbox for specific release info.

Freaky Nail Sunday! The Colors of Summer

Today's sneaker-colorway nail art is inspired by summer! I received the above-pictured Nike Dunks as a gift for Christmas and couldn't wait til the Summer came around to rock them.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do in terms of nail art, although I didn't have as much time as I would have liked (hence some of the messiness on the pinky and middle fingers).  I took a look at my nail polish stash and pulled out two Wet N Wild Wet Shine polishes and a Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear lacquer for my base colors.  My dotting tool and Kiss Nail Art brush were in hand to create the curved lines and dots that I love so much, lol Check out a few more pictures of this look after the jump and let me know what you think!

Nike WMNS Dunk HIgh Skinny - Deep Burgundy/Pink Glaze

Strikingly similar to the men's "Easter" Nike Dunk High released in 2007, the above pictured Women's Nike Dunk High Skinny is quite exquisite in it's own right.  Deep burgundy colored leather and canvas cover most of the shoe, while white paints the toe box and midsole.  Sure, we don't see any polka dots on this version, but the pink laces, swoosh and outsole are a sweet replacement.  Available now at Caliroots.

Nike Air Max 90 GS - White/Sport Red/Anthracite - Medium Grey

The latest Nike Air Max 90 GS offering could be considered a close cousin to one of my favorite sneakers of all time - the Infrared Air Max 90 - but there are some noticeable differences.  To start, Sport Red and Medium Grey replace the iconic Infrared and Neutral Grey, but the same color placement is in toe.  Another standout is the use of ballistic nylon mesh on the black side paneling and swoosh.  A colorful multi squared Nike tongue tag finishes off the look. Air Jordan 1 Phat GS - 2012 Colorway

Could this be the Black/Violet Pop Air Jordan 1 Phat from the Jordan Brand Girls 2012 catalog scans we posted back in June? As of now, we aren't certain. We do see purple on the heel accent, toe box, and swoosh, with what looks to be a floral patterned mesh side panel.  In due time, more info will arrive, and when it does, sneakHerbox will be sure to let you know! Keds Champion & Champion Skipper - Summer 2011 Collection

We haven't shown Keds brand as much love as we should, and it's time to correct that.  The Keds Champion is the original signature model from the American brand that's been in the game for over 90 years.  Throughout that time, the Champion has become synonymous with sleek and effortless style.  A strikingly simply standout for any lady- be it a sporty chick or swanky fashionista.  The beauty of the shoe is that it can be styled in so many different ways to compliment your individual fashion spirit.  The Champion got an update in the form of the Skipper, which fuses the OG with boat-shoe elements to create a cute, casual pair of kicks.  The newest look for both features a woven nautical print - mimicking that of a "boyfriend shirt." Nike WMNS Free TR Summer 2011 - New Colorways

Three new colorways of the Nike Free TR have just hit Nike training retailers. The training shoe features a seamless mesh and synth-leather upper, neoprene heel and Nike Free flex grooves to provide flexibility, comfort and lightweight support all in one beautifully contoured package.  The latest color schemes - Solar Red, White/Met Silver, and Glacier Blue are available for this model, which has become a favorite amongst the ladies! Nike Dunk Low GS - Metallic Silver/Metallic Silver - Black

A new Nike Dunk Low in a metallic silver and black get-up is now available in kid's sizes. Smooth synth metallic silver leather can be seen on the toe box and sidepanels, with a bit of texture found on the surrounding toe cap and heel accent.  Nice!

Nike Air Force 1 Low GS - Black / Metallic Hematite - Wolf Grey

I’ve seen at least 12 (exaggerating, but only a little bit) Nike Air Force 1s come out in grade school sizes with nearly the same colorway, but I do like the change in material use on this one. Patent Black perforated leather supplies the base for the upper, while wolf grey plays the supporting role on the side panels and toebox.  A little bit of glitz is found on the Metallic Hematite colored swoosh, a gritty medium grey which works well with the tone of the shoe.  We love bright pops of color here at sneakHerbox, so the hot pink definitely gives this nearly rugged pair a softer side.  Pick up your pair now at Citysole.

Vans WMNS Luxe Line - Bailie & Cedar

Today, we have some new and interesting looks from Vans Brand.  The Luxe line features a number of models, including the new Bailie (mid) and Cedar (low), and in this particular collection, both feature a vintage-styled floral pattern which gives the shoes a sophisticated look.  Available now at ExtraButterNY.

Nike WMNS Air Force 1 - Patent Pack

As a child, I loved wearing jelly sandals.  They were the archetype of summer shoes and their colorful translucent nature made me think of sunshine, popsicles, and all around groodness.  Well, it has been years since old Beedee has rocked a pair of jellys, but Nike has fused my love of shiny, jelly fun with sneakers, to create a wonderful pack of women's Air Force 1 lows which feature a colorful patent swoosh and heel tab with matching translucent outsole.  The three colors noted in this pack are Solar Red, Bold Berry and High Voltage yellow.  I love :) Each of these beauties should be showing up in your local Nike retailers soon, so be on the lookout.  View more pictures of each shoe after the jump. via Rakuten.

Reebok WMNS Kamikaze III - Black/Neon Pink

Reebok has been making a serious effort to "comeback" as of late, for some it seems to be in vain, while for others, it is a triumphant return to the forefront (sort of).  With the recent enlisting of one man band man, Swizz Beatz, as creative director for the brand, Reebok has seen a jolt of interest come in the form of the re-worked Kamikaze III model.  Today we have a peek at a new colorway just for the laydays.  Black predominantly covers the upper while pink accents the midsole.  A simple, yet effective look.  We see you Reebok! No release date info as of yet, but sneakHerbox will surely keep you posted as new developments occur.

Freaky Nail Friday - Tuesday Edition!

With all the activities the last week of June brings to the city of Chicago, in addition to the Holiday, it was quite hard to distinguish yesterday from oh, let's say Friday.  Anywho, today I have a  later than promised post on another sneaker-colorway inspired nail art manicure.  As you can see, the inspiration behind this look was taken from the coveted Nike Air Max Lebron 8 V1 "South Beach" colorway.  If you follow the blog and our twitter, you probably know how much I really really REALLY wanted these, and how I totally went ham when the news dropped that they'd be available in GS sizes.  Truly an amazing color scheme to commemorate Lebron's trip from the midwest to Miami.  Since then, the price and availability of this sneaker in both mens and kids sizes has become infamous.  The color itself being solidified in sneaker cdub history, right up there with "bred" and "neon", with tons of custom jobs and official releases following suit.  For my nail look, I took a rather simple approach, with the base color being a clear match for the "Retro" green of the 8s, a little mint green to match the outsole, and of course, black and pink dashes and dots to give the look a "retro, 80s" feel.  However, without a wicked awesome camera, the color looks a bit more blue than it truly is. Nike WMS Skinny Dunk Hi Liberty Fabrics - Sail/Birch

The Nike x Liberty Fabrics collaboration has most certainly gone hard in the mickey fickey paint this year, with model after model releasing in Liberty of London's signature floral patterns.  The newest look being the Nike women's dunk high skinny you see above.  Multi-colored flowers are seen coloring a neutral toned
