SHBX's Top 10 Women's and Grade School Sneaker Releases of 2010

Hiya folks :)

This month, you've seen a number of lists proclaiming the "best" sneaks of the year from the Who's Who of the sneaker industry.  Interestingly enough, wimminz and kids selections were left out of a lot of these lists.  Not to worry, I Iz here to save the sneaker day with what I believe, were the dopest releases for women and subsequently kids, this year.  In compiling this list, I took some time to go back through posts I've made throughout the year as well as polling some sneakher chicks via Twitter to see what the buzz was for ladies' footwear in 2010.  You may agree with some of the picks, you may not, it beez like dat sometimes.  Anyhoo, whether you're pleased or displeased, be sure to hit the comment box to share your thoughts.  Without further adieu, here are Sneakherbox's Top 10 Women's and GS kicks for the year 2010.  Enjoy!

The List Starts After the Jump.

Valentine's Day 2011 - Air Jordan I Phat & Flight 45

Last week, we showed you a preview of Nike's retro offerings for Valentine's Day 2011.  Today we have few shots of Jordan Brand's collection for the heartfelt holiday.  The Air Jordan 1 Phat, which we posted a little while back, comes in a Spark and Black colorway, draped in satin.  Up next is the Air Jordan Flight 45 in a White/Spark and Black look, with a special scribbled midsole and sparkly ankle accent. Nice :) Both are available for purchase now at Sneakerhead and will be hitting Jordan Brand retailers in January. Direct links to purchase online below and more pics after the jump!

SFS: Nike Dunk High GS - "Un-Tiffany" Retro/Metallic Silver - Black

Flicks of this tiffany-esque dunk dropped earlier this year.  Here we have a few more detailed shots of the GS Dunk Hi featuring a similar colorway to that of the now iconic Diamond Supply Co. x SB Dunk Low.  We see silver speckles on the toe guard and patent leather draping the ankle accent.  Initially, I was "eh" about this pair, but these shots have really sold me.  Glad to see some of the more elaborate color schemes being brought to the table for women's and gs sneakers.  Look for these to drop at Nike retailers in the US in the coming months.

Nike WMS Dunk Hi Premium - "Busy P Inspired" Black/Vivid Pink

Yep, I said the same thing. These do resemble the Busy P Nike Air Force 1 of the 1World Pack released in 2008.  The above pictured Nike Women's Dunk Hi nearly mimics the rare dunk high with a few alterations.  Obviously, the attention grabbing Busy P scribble on the upper is not present, and we see black ripstop on the upper instead of leather.  The blue swoosh as seen on the Busy P Forces is replaced by a black check, while a rainbow color scheme dancing around the midsole. Another notable addition is the pink toe guard. These babies are available for purchase now at Japanese online retailer Rakuten and should be dropping at U.S. retailers soon!

Nike WMS Dunk Hi Skinny - Madras Pack Spring 2011

Despite it only being December, I know that Spring wilst inevitably be on its way. For sneaker peoples like mah'shelf, this means being able to rock colorful kicks without fear of an attack from Sneaker's nemesis - slushy, dirty snow.  The above pictured Skinny Dunk Hi pack features Madras, a traditionally plaid fabric used on articles of clothing and is ideal for the warmer seasons.  The darker colored Madras features burgundy and brown tones while the lighter colored pair highlights brighter tones with the use of orange, blue and pink.  The final tee hee hee on both pairs, however, is the extra swanky gum brown sole. Bow. Bow. Bow. Both pairs are available online for pre-order at Kix-Files, but, if you'd like to get a pair sooner than later, NDC has the lighter Madras Skinny Dunk available for purchase now. Valentine's Day 2011 - Nike Girls Dunk Low and Air Max 95

Now that the major holidays are nearly out of the way, what better way for Nike to cash in on our cheerful spirits than to move on to the next celebration - Valentine's Day.  The above pictured Grade School sized kicks are newly listed on NDC and share a very similar colorway. White, Carmine Red and Pink (different variations, respectively) cover most of the upper on both - perfect looks for such a loving season. This "pack" will be hitting Nike retailers soon, until then check the links below to purchase these babies online.

Nike x Liberty Fabrics 2011 Collection

The next installment of the Nike x Liberty Fabric "series" brings that classic Euro flare which has become a favorite among the ladies.   A number of iconic Nike models such as the Air Force 1, Blazer Mid, and Dunk Hi are a part of the 2011 collection.  They will feature the signature floral style we've come to adore in an array of colors.  Hands down, this may be my favorite Liberty pack ever, the Dark Magenta and Brown Dunk Hi is my fave!  Set to release next year overseas, we will have more info on purchasing in the coming months.

Could It Be (GS)? Nike Air Max Lebron 8 V2 - Christmas Edition

Why yes, yes it could.

We have seen some great Xmas-inspired colorways from King James in the past few years, this year will be no different. Coming off what seems to be have been a highly demanded re-do of the SoBe Lebron 8 to be made in Kids sizes, Nike has gotten the memo that it would be advantageous to release special colorways in GS from jump.  The Men's Nike Air Max Lebron 8 V2 "Christmas" photos hit the web not to long ago, and immediately caused a frenzy amongst supporters of the extra festive color combo. Now, I'm assuming lots of gals and smaller footed guys are wondering when exactly these are scheduled for release.  As of now, what we know for sure is that the Men's release date is set for December 26th, so the GS sizes will probably release same day or shortly after.  Next in your box of questions is where will these release?  That too, is still somewhat of a mystery.  However, be sure to stick with SneakHerbox.com for continued updates on the GS release, price, and location availability. Hit the link for more shots of the men's size.

*Update: Now Available @ Finishline & NDC

Air Jordan Phat 1 Mid Girls - Valentine's Day 2011?

What you see above could quite possibly be Jordan Brand’s 2011 Valentine’s Day sneaker.  Each year, Jordan Brand creates a special Valentine’s Day sneak for leedle footed women and girls.  We’ve seen a swagged out pink and red Air Jordan 1 Retro 2009 and this year we saw the Coral Rose Air Jordan 6.  For next year’s release, JB goes back to the 1 model in the form of the Jordan Phat.  Raspberry colored satin covers the upper while black dances along the swoosh, mid and outsoles, and laces.  A heart-shaped basketball can be seen on the side of each shoe near the heel, a feature that is becoming a signature on vday releases.  Although an official release on these has not been confirmed, my hope is that news will surface within the coming weeks.  Stick with SneakHerbox for more updates!

Nike Air Max Lebron 8 GS "South Beach" - Detailed Shots + Men/GS Comparison

*cues dramatic victory music*

Yes, the moment you all I have been waiting for! After last week's release DEBACLE (you might've seen my twitter rant), I was seriously starting to think the whole GS South Beach Lebron 8s thing was a fluke.  But oh hoo hoo, Niketown Chicago came through for your girl in a clutch! Now, to my understanding, our store may have been one of the first to actually receive their GS shipment - upon hearing of the drop, I quickly tweeted the deets out and sneaker chicks went to work on the phone lines! Unfortunately, our store has sold out but yesterday's release leads me to hope that other Niketown stores throughout the nation have/will be receiving their shipments this week.  In addition to NT, Footaction and Footlocker stores are expected to get GS product in the next couple of days, so it is pertinent to keep track by calling your local stores.  You might also be wondering if these will be available online. As of Monday, Nikestore's twitter page tweeted about an online release becoming available "mid-week." That, to me, sounds like they could be available tomorrow, Wednesday the 8th.  This information, however, hasn't been confirmed via Nikestore's twitter page.  As stated before, it'd be a good idea to start following their page (if you're not already) to stay updated.  Of course, when new information becomes known, I'll be sure to tweet it so you should DEFINITELY be following our twitter at twitter.com/SneakHerbox.  Anyhoo, hit the link below for more shots of the GS release as well as some comparison shots & info!

Air Jordan XIII (13) GS - Altitude - Detailed Shots

One of the more unexpected GS releases of the season is the Air Jordan XIII Altitude.  I recently picked up my pair and I must say, I am pretty pleased with the quality.  The GS pair mimics nearly every detail of the mens, including the textured back paneling, re-vamped altitude green outsole and jumpman, and 3M mesh panels - a new addition for the 2010 retro.  Hit the link below for more pics, and be sure to cop your pair this Saturday, December 11th, 2010 at participating Jordan retailers.

YSK: Air Jordan XI "Cool Grey" Midnight Release 12/23 @ Niketown Chicago

Oh yeah, you want em, and you're not going to wait til 10am to get em.  Not to fear, Niketown Chicago is here, with a Midnight Release for one of the most anticipated sneaker releases of the Holiday Season.  On December 23rd, these babies will be flying off the shelves so get there early, as I'm sure there will be a line.

Nike Be True To Your Street WMS Dunk Collection

Here we see a few pics of yet-released Nike's Be True To Your Street Women's Dunk Hi and Low Collection. Very simple colors and materials are used in the pics to follow, featuring textured leather and canvas uppers.  My favorite pair may be the white canvas upper with plaid patterned side panels.  Neat-o! Hit the link below for more :)

Air Jordan XIII (13) Girls - White/Spark - Stealth

SWAG! WOO! WOO!

Here we see yet ANOTHER HOT GS colorway for the Air Jordan XIII model!  Especially for the laydays - this White, Spark (Pink!) and Stealth Grey creation is so lovely, it is sure to please Female Jordanheads as well as a couple non-sneaker wearers :) Consider this the cute, light-skinneded cousin of this extra sezzeh AJ 13.

As of right now, we can expect these to release in February, but they are available for online purchase at RMKstore.

Could It Be (GS)? Nike Air Max Griffey 1 -Royal/Black - Volt

I'm seriously starting to think someone from the Swoosh has been listening in on my many sneaker rants.  Back in 09 when the Volt Air Max Griffey 1 re-released - I was like O.O at first, then =/ when I found out they'd only be dropping in Men's sizes.  Considering the OGs were available in kid's sizes, I was a little more than displeased with the decision to go the big footed, ahem, folks size run.  Welst, all knowing Marqueesole has posted shots of an upcoming 2011 retro release of the Volt colorway in GS sizes.  Yes, GRADE SCHOOL SIZES.  I don't think there is anymore I need to say besides these wilst be copped with a VENGEANCE.  I'm having Diamond Turf deja vu all over again, and I love it! No official release date as of yet, but stay tuned to SHBX, we gotcha covered!

BD's Favorite Things - Air Jordan 1 Retro - Black Patent Leather - Gold

Ah, yes!  Back in 2003 when these babies were originally released - I was somewhere being mannish a nerd and they were not on my radar.  Fast forward to 2006, I'm sitting in my dorm room, and Cassie's Me & You plays on BET.  Me eyes immediately zoom to her feet, and I'm like WHOA, what are those?!?! Peeped the signature Jordan logo on the tongue and I'm like MUST.HAVE.THOSE.SNEAKERS.

Air Jordan 1 Anodized Girls - Voltage Cherry

A brief preview of this model was seen here back in August.  We now have detailed pics of the Voltage Cherry Anodized AJ1 for girls thanks to Kix-Files.  The "foamposite" design style is new to JB for the Holiday season and this particular colorway is too cute.  These babies are available on their website now for  $120 (not including international shipping :-O). If you wouldn't mind waiting, they'll be hitting U.S. retailers soon for about $95.

Also available: Air Jordan 1 Anodized Girls - Glass Blue @ Kix-Files.

YSK: Air Jordan XIII Holiday 2010 Releases

So if you are like me, you've had enough of dealing with the hype surrounding a seemingly "huge" holiday release from JB cough Cool Grey 11s cough..  I'm taking the more scenic route and focusing on a less appreciated model, the Air Jordan 13, which is set to see a flurry of retro colorway releases this year and next.  Although we are in fact at the end of the standard calendar year, we are just beginning to kick off what is sure to be "The Year of the 13," we see the return of the Flint colorway, set to drop this Friday, November 26th aka BLACK FRIDAY.

Nike Air Max Lebron 8 "South Beach" to Drop in GS Sizes

As I stood in the cold, waiting in line to pick up my brother's "South Beach" Brons - I thought to myself - hmm, it should would be dope if this wickedly fly colorway dropped in my size.  God definitely hears all prayers - sneaker ones included - just in on Footlocker Unlocked - The South Beach Lebron 8 colorway will be available in GS sizes (3.5-7y) on December 1st.

I'm On It.

NikeWMS Air Max 95 - Black/Black - White - Photo Blue

Coming in as a decent alternative to the men's photo blue 95, this brand new colorway has hit NDC for the laydays.  Traditionally I'd think a colorway like this one would also be available in men's sizes only – but oh joy – WEEZ GETTING IT!  Black leather and mesh cover the upper while photo blue accents the outsole, lace loops, swoosh and air unit.  Mucho Gusto (my Spanish is turrible)! Retailing at the standard 95 smackaroos, they shouldn’t break the bank too much. Catch your pair RIGHT HERE J

Collabos: Hello Kitty x Reebok PT-20

Um, YEAH. Most of my readers and close friends know that I am a Hello Kitty fanatic.  When it comes down to it, that leedle cute kitty is the bees knees to me, and I typically like to own whatever merchandise I find her on.  Wellz, in the past, I've seen some not so great sneaker collaborations featuring my fantastic feline friend, but Reebok always manages to deliver.  The above pictured PT-20 model gets the fluffy treatment in the form of furry material used on the entire upper in three different colors - black, white, and pink - all with a big red bow on the side - mimicking that of a HK stuffed toy.  The finishing touch comes with the clear outsole featuring Hello Kitty's lovely mug, ah TOO CRUTE!  As of right now, these are set to drop in November via Japanese store Atmos.  Hopefully, ebay will get a few pairs in my size word will drop about a U.S. release, my fingers are most certainly crossed :) More pics after the jump!

Nike WMS Air Max 24/7 - Black/Lemon Twist - Dark Shadow - Dark Grey

o.O

O.o

NIKE...must you SNAP like this?!?!

As if the previous of the Nike Air Max 24/7 cws weren't FUEGO enough, the Swoosh drops another colorway bomb pictured above.  Lemon-y yellow tints the signature full air unit on the outside, while metallic silver synthetic leather wraps the lower panel of the sneaker. Cascading shades of grey can be seen near the heel and a black inner lining seals the deal.  TALK ABOUT HAVING IT MY WAY - Nike, you did that. I DIG THESE!!!

Available now at NDC.

Married to the Mob x Reebok "Double Bubble" November 2010

Most of you know that as of late, I've had a love/hate relationship with the MTTM brand, partly due to there being a lack of, IMO, creative expansion on the apparel end.  However, I've always been more than pleased with their collaborations - specifically sneaker collabs - which are always fresh, funky, sexy and badass, just like the Ms Leah McSweeney herself.  This morning's casual browse of my fave sneaker sites led me upon the DOPE FUGGIN HOTNESS you see above. Once again, Reebok has twerked it out with MOB to create a stunning colorway for the Reebok Freestyle Double Bubble.  Very similar to the Reebok Freestyle Hi we saw back in 08, the Double Bubble features a higher ankle and additional strap.  The vibrant cobalt blue suede upper, gum outsole, and rose gold embellished signature MTTM lips logo and tongue accents SCREAM luxury.  I love them. I want them. I wilst have them. Dropping November 1 and retailing at $100 (beauty on a budget!), this limited release will be available at Karmaloop, UNDFTD, PickYourShoes, and Michael K. [tyga]I'M ON IT[/tyga] More pics after the jump.

SneakerPimps Chicago 2010 - Recap

Over the weekend, SneakerPimps rolled into Chicago with a “back to the essence” feel that only this kind of event could achieve. Live music mixed with previews of upcoming sneaker releases from Nike and Jordan Brand really set the tone for a great evening. Couple that with the dope game station set up by NBA Jam and a few drinks, and you’ve got yourself a grood Saturday night.  Some of the highlights for women's footwear in 2011 include new colorways of the Nike Gladiator sandal, as well as the use of sexy satin on the Nike Air Royalty Mid (will be updating with pics later, camera is being a wuss).

Among the musical guests keeping the crowd hype were Phil Ade (check out his mixtape The Letterman here) and PayPa of Project Mayhem, as well as Chicago’s own Mikky Halsted and GLC (G.O.O.D. Music!!!).  Special Guest and Wu-Tang capo Raekwon was also in the building and ended the night on an awesome note.  I had a great time catching up with sneaker friends and fam – I look forward to many more sneaker-friendly events in the city. Special shoutout to  Sergio for the pics on behalf of the Sneakherbox team.  Check out all the pics belowzies J

Nike presents 2010 Halloween-Inspired Kicks - Girls & Boys

All Hollows Eve is steadily approaching, so you know what that means - HALLOWEEN INSPIRED KICKS FOR THE KIDDIES AND SFS'ers! A couple weeks ago, I got a chance to view some of the kicks dropping for the Holiday (thx Jose!) and I was immensely impressed.  In the past, we've seen product featuring black and orange kicks with ghostly patterns adorning nearly the entire upper. Although "cute" for the moment, the design really limited your ability to rock those kicks year round.  Well not this year! The Swoosh decided to keep some of the key elements which have been successful in the past and tweak them a bit to make them more practical for rocking on any occasion. Included in this year’s pack are two Nike Air Max 95s – one for girls and one for boys.  The boys’ AM95 totes a glow in the dark material on the mid panel, a cool element that is very relevant to the season.  It’s also used on the above pictured Black and Electric Green Nike Dunk High and will be a plus for kiddies trick or treating on October 31.  The girls AM95 is by far, my favorite pair of out the line-up.  Black patent and smooth leathers cover the upper panels surrounding the signature AM95 mesh while metallic silver creates a funky and fun look on the lower panels.  Vivid pink accents the outsole, lace loops, and tiny swoosh near the heel.  The inner lining is decked out in a crazy striped pattern, also seen on the Girls Dunk High up top, which adds a spooky flair to these pairs.  Retail for the Dunk Highs are 70 bucks and the Air Max 95s are rounding out at about 95 bucks.  Available in sizes 3.5Y to 7Y, you can grab as many pairs as you like right now at NDC - direct purchase links and more pics after the jump.

Nike WMS Air Max 90 - Obsidian/White

In addition to the below posted AM90 for kids, a new Women’s Air Max 90 is available at Finishline in a super neat Fall colorway.  Obsidian has to be one of my favorite sneaker colors seeing as it is so basic yet stunning.  The above pictured pair features classic mesh (+500) on the toe box and ankle accent, while synthetic leather covers the rest of the upper, all in a deep, rich blue.  The side accents receive a patent leather plaid pattern which, I honestly think should have could've been omitted.  Anyhoo, if you are feeling these as is, hit the link below (where it says finishline) to purchase your pair.

Nike AM90 Kids - Black-White/Blue- Red - Volt

A new kids Air Max 90 colorway recently hit Finishline.com and I must say there are some really fun colors on this one.  A predominantly black upper gets hit with some spunk with a red outsole and volt yellow accent surrounding the air unit, which, happens to be the same blue and the shoe’s lining.  A white midsole and swoosh finish the look, keeping it very nice and simple.  Retailing at $75 bucks you can check these out now at the direct link below.

Air Jordan Holiday 2010 Girls Collection

This time last year, JB’s Holiday 2009 collection included lot’s o’ pink – as seen on the White/Black – Pink AJ 60+ and Air Jordan 1 Retro.  This time around, pink is still undeniably in rotation – but various shades of my most favorite color are used, making this year’s collection aesthetically pleasing to an adult-eye.  Some of the kicks we’ll see are the AJ13 Black/Volt –Cherry and Anodized AJ1s which we posted a little while ago.  Also included in the mix is the Spizike Winterized Boot – which, for the record, I LOVE…along with a couple 6-Inch Jordan Flight 9s and Jordan SC-1s.  It's clear that JB has taken into consideration that not all sneaker people are kids or men, as this collection involves more mature materials and colorway options.  I expected to be slighted once again in the realm of higher quality and design elements, but I can see that in some ways, the brand is trying to step it up.  We still have a ways to go, but these small improvements are appreciated.  Check out all of the pics from the Jordan Brand Holiday 2010 Girls collection below and enjoy!

And They Say Chi-City: Sneak n Eat Recap

Over the weekend, Nike teamed up with the boutiques of Chicago to create a great buy/sell/trade event called Sneak N Eat.  The day begin as an all-ages sneaker extravaganza full of young sneakerheads and OG heads as well (I lay somewhere in the middle I suppose lol) along with vendors showing their hottest footwear and merchandise offerings.  The evening opened with the 21 and older crowd with food a-flowing and drinks a-pouring! A special VIP section held a sneak peek of upcoming footwear releases for Nike.  Very schwanky! All in all – a good event for the city and hopefully, just one of many more to come.  Special shoutout to Oscar, Jose, V.Dot, and Flipjays! Check out some of the pics below

Air Jordan x Va$htie Kola AJII LE Girls - Lavender/Deep Purple

A few weeks ago, we posted some first looks of the above pictured Air Jordan II set to release especially for the ladies this Holiday season.  Wellz, new info has just dropped confirming these babies are in fact a collaboration between Jordan Brand and NYC’s uptown sweetheart Va$htie Kola.  Most of you know that Miss V loves herself some Jordan, specifically the Black Cement IIIs – she took a different approach on this collab and went with a soft violet upper for this model.  These detailed pics surely help make the decision on whether to cop a lot easier – these are a good as bought! Set to drop on October 2nd, this limited-edition colorway is as shedangly as it wants to be, AND I LIKES IT! More pics after the jump. via TSG x Jumpman23

Could It Be (GS)? - 2011: The Year of The Retro - JB Potential Releases

This time of year is always crazy for sneaker heads because news starts to circulate about potential releases for the following year.  Well, if speculation turns out to be truth, JB intends on putting my pockets in a coma come 2011.  Yesterday evening, news hit the interwebs regarding a GANG of retros set to hit the shelves – some we already knew were confirmed (white/cement AJIIIs and Bordeaux VIIs) and the rest, well the rest LITCHURRULLY put me in shocked face mode O.O.  Chicago Xs, White/Cement 4s, Cardinal 7s, Grape/Laney Vs pack – COTDAMN! Then, reality started to set in, all these classic releases wilst be great to see drop but WHAT EXACTLY WILL BE RELEASING IN GRADE SCHOOL SIZES?!?! Below is a list of things expected to drop next year posted on NT and a breakdown of what I THINK we can expect in GS sizes

BD's Picks for Fall x What's New @ NDC - Air Maxes, Air Force 1, and More

Whew, there's no denying the MASS amount of fuego footwear headed our way this Fall ladies, as I have unmasked some of what I think are the dopest pairs to drop thus far.  As you can see from above, we have two iconic models bringing some old age flare back into the game with the return of the OG Air Max 90 WMS colorway and the Air Force 1 low featuring a perforated swoosh - a design technique we've seen on other models in the past.  Also featured in the above mix is a new crowd favorite - the Air Max 24/7 - which has dropped in a number of great looks for women this year, but this Varsity Red/Dark Charcoal combo is SERIOUS! Rounding out the group is the Air Feather High - a slimmer take on the Air Force 1 High, toting the "Workboot" colorway used on a men's AF1 high version dropped earlier this year.  I can dig it! All of the above kicks are available for purchase NAO and Nike.com - more pics and "Where To Buy" links after the jump.

JB Holiday 2010: Air Jordan 13 Retro - White/Black - True Red - Detailed Pics

Detailed shots of this year's Air Jordan 13 releases are starting to hit the web, and myself as well as other are quite pleased.  The above pictured White/Black - True Red retro is set to release this December, and for the most part, is an exact replica of its 1997 predecessor (which I remember receiving as a late birthday gift from my bro – the last Jordan I would receive for a while).  What’s even better is that these babies are expected to release full family (*note: the joints you see up top are men's sizes), and we ALL know how delightful AJ13s look on small feet ^_^.  Anyhoo, peep all of the sneaker candy below – the pics are sure to make you smile.

And They Say Chi-City: Chicago Sneak n Eat Sunday, September 19th

A new kind of Sneaker Event will be dropping down in Chicago this weekend.  Check the flier for more details - hope to see you there!

What's New @ NDC: Air Max 90 Girls - Black/White - Voltage Cherry - Metallic Silver

A new girl’s AM90 just hit NDC featuring a voltage cherry and black outfit similar to that of the upcoming AJ13 releasing this December.  Patent leather and leather come together on the upper, side panel and accent.  Metallic silver polishes the accent surrounding the air unit – which just so happens to be voltage cherry, as is the lining.  White laces, midsole, and signature swoosh complete the look and have me going WOWZERS! Very fresh color blocking, Nike.  Little ladies and small foot syndrome members are going to love these! Available now for a moderately priced 75 bucks – hit up NDC right nao to order your pair! Additional pic after the jump.

Air Jordan 1 "Anodized" GS - Glass Blue & Voltage Cherry - Holiday 2010

In the past two years, we've seen numerous Air Jordan 1 Retros drop for both men and children, and a lot of us were feeling that the model should get a rest - even if for just a little while.  Well, I'd say its been a good 6 to 8 months since we've been bombarded with 1s releases, so I was pleased to see the above pictured GS retro Air Jordan 1s set to drop as part of Jordan Brand's Holiday 2010 collection.  This time around, the iconic model gets an "anodized" treatment, which gives the shoe a certain sheen.  By scientific means, anodizing is a process of treating metal to prevent corrosion and wear.  My hope is that JB is playing up this theme by sneaker means and perhaps these babies won't crease too much.  But only time and wear, will tell.  As of right now, no specific release dates are available, but I'm guessing retailers and online shops should b receiving their product in early November.  Be sure to check back with SneakHerbox for more pictures and updated information.

Air Jordan XIII (13) Retro GS - Black/Voltage Cherry - White Holiday 2010

2010 just might be the year of the Air Jordan 13. If you’ve read my JB 2010 Upcoming Releases post (I certainly hope you have :] ) you already know that the Flint and White/Red 13s are scheduled to release near year-end. You may have ALSO heard about the Black/Voltage Cherry - White colorway set to drop in GS sizes only. Wellz, we finally get an actual look at this pair and I must say I am impressed! Sporting a similar 3M underlined black mesh shroud seen on the “Bred 13” model. The color placement on this GS shoe is very similar to the “All-Star” 13s set to drop early next year – obvious differences being the use of pink instead of red on the outsole and a pink sockliner. iDIGs! With the release date being more than 3 months away (December 18th), I am anxiously awaiting the drop – how about you?

Nike Air Max 95 GS – Silver/Black – Sapphire Blue

WHOA! Talk about futuristic schwag! The Air Max 95 you see above features a very shedangly colorway – a shiny silver upper is revved up with a blue outsole and lime green air unit. Ba-Da-Ba-Ba-Baaa I’M LOVIN’ IT!!! As these are GS only kicks, you can find them in sizes 3.5 to 7Y right now at Finishline.

Nike WMS Air Max 1 - Daybreak & Solar Red

The iconic Air Max 1 running model has gotten some major love in terms of new colorways this year. The ladies are feeling the buzz of newness as well with the above pictured pairs. The “daybreak” purple and vegas gold pair has a very nice, subtle feel while the solar red and seedweed black pair pop with vivacious color. Both tote a gum outsole which adds the perfect finish two very live colorways. Me likey! Head over to SNS now to order one pair or both :) More pics after the jump.

Nike WMS Air Max 90 - Vibrant Yellow & Red Plum

Following a similar color blocking and netting pattern as the previously posted AF1 lows, this new set of women's Air Max 90s are available for pre-order on Kix-Files. Red plum seems to be making its rounds this season as it shows up again on this model with a vibrant yellow splashed on the other. Both colors scream summer to me, which kind of turn me off to them considering we're headed toward Fall, but I guess its summer somewhere right? Direct links to cop are awaiting after the jumpsie.

Nike WMS Air Force 1 Low - Red Plum and Victory Green

A new batch of women's Air Force 1 lows recently hit online sneaker retailer Kix-Files for pre-order. One sports a bright, victory green leather accented upper, while the other comes in a red plum. White cross-patten netting is seen on the toe box and side panels of both pairs. If you are feeling these babies, be sure to  check out the direct links for purchasing after the jump.

Air Jordan Retro 1 GS – White/Neutral Grey – Vivid Pink - Black

For many sneaker chicks, the “pink and shrink” method often evokes a disdain for the male dominated sneaker industry which exists. Much too often our colorways are TOO cute, too “feminine”, too cookie cutter and so very unoriginal. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am a proud wearer of pink clothing, accessories, and kicks, but only when done appropriately, like the above pictured pair. This Air Jordan 1 Retro just hit the scene and perfectly incorporates pink without being drab. A simple white and neutral grey base gets a dose or two of color with a vivid pink swoosh, laces, and signature Air Jordan Wings. The black midsole really adds a funky bit of edge to the entire look, making this pair a winner. Available in GS sizes for $77.99 now at Finishline.

As we wave goodbye to summer :deep sigh: – we welcome Fall with our feet, hoping for the most colorful and vibrant hues of the season. The newest AM95 release is already prepping for the big leaf change with this new colorway especially for the laaaydaaaays. The “Plum 95” features a color scheme of tonal greys and a deep purple that give the shoe a very rustic, autumn feel. I’m loving it! Nike Girls Blazer Boot – Three Colorways

One of the joys of being a member of Team SFS is being able to partake in teh small sized sneaks. While browsing NDC, I saw the above pictured Nike Blazer Boots for girls. YSK: Air Jordan XI Retro "Cool Grey" GS Preview

Looky here! Earlier this year I did a post covering most, if not all, of the upcoming Jordan Brand releases for the year. When the post was created, the re-release of the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” colorway was teeter-tottering between speculation and actual confirmation. One thing I definitely knew was that they would be available in GS sizes, and I was correct! The lovely pair you see above is actually a shot of a GS pair, which for the most part, resembles its 2001 counterpart, EXCEPT FOR THAT ICY BLUE SOLE!!! Wooohoooohoooo!!! The 2010 upgrade looks magnificent and seems to be a trend this year for GS XIs (see Anniversary 11s). Me thinks the Big Foot Bastards (or BFBs) will be pretty mad if they get snubbed AGAIN and receive a mere clear sole. MUHAHAHAHAHA! Sucks to be you guise*! Anyhoo, these babies are set for Christmas Mania aka December 23rd, so get ya monies up now, you got time!

*update: photos of the Men's CG11s have hit the web and also sport an iced out, blue sole. Hooray!

Air Jordan II Retro Girls - Lavender/Deep Purple - Del Sol

Yesterday, news of a brand new Air Jordan II Retro for girls dropped and initially put me in a frenzy. It is rare that any Air Jordan secretly pops up with little to no info prior to its release, so this surprise pair was really kept underwraps. As you can see above, lavender-colored nubuck surrounds the entire upper of this retro, while a deep purple underlay subtly creeps along the sides of the shoe in traditional AJ II form, as well as gives color to the shoe’s sockliner. A shimmery, muted grey can be seen on the laces and midsole. From first look, I’m not completely sold on them (I think I’ll have to see them in person) but I WILL say that I am extremely happy to a more sophisticated look to Jordan Brand’s GS kicks. I guess my wish for BIN23 style GS keeps is coming true! As of right now, no official release date is known, but be sure to stick with sneakHerbox.com as I am sure to bring you the word as soon as I receive it!

SBeezies: August 2010 Nike SB releases

In terms of unbelievable-ness (not a word, but roll with it), the Nike SB line has been pretty quiet this year. There has yet to be a cataclysmic release like last year’s Blue Lobster Dunk Low although some of you were in a bit of a tizzy over the Skunk SB Dunks -___-.  I will, however, say, there have been some rather awesome releases and a smaller scale. This month we’ll see two very unique collaborations with the SB line, one with Civil skate shop of Rhode Island and another with Poets of New York. The Nike SB Dunk High “Civil” features a mix of neutral grey and creme tones while the SB Blazer High x Poets (seen above) dons a deep perforated obsidian blue upper. I digs! A tiffany-esque Janoski makes its way into skate shops this month along with a strap-less black Dunk Mid. Check out these kicks and the rest of August’s package after the jump.

Nike WMS Air Force 1 High – White/Glass Blue

There is something about simple colorways that really takes me back to my earlier sneaker years. Before footwear brands did WHATEVER to grab the consumers attention, the days when less indeed was more, and we enjoyed that sensibility. Sometimes I think that era is long gone, and then I come across a pair like the one you see above, and I immediately feel nostalgic. The Air Force 1 High model has gotten a lot of play this year for the ladies, and this model really solidifies that fresh, clean, summer feeling. A white leather upper meets up with an uncommonly seen fabric used on AF1s – mesh! The toe box and side panels are laced in it, while the swoosh, heel tab, and outsole all sport a cool glass blue color. Schweet. I am totally digging this pair, and I’m sure you are too, so click the link below to be taken directly to NDC for purchasing.

Nike WMS Big Nike High "Revolutionary Rockas" - Black/Varsity Red – White

The Bred colorway popularized by Jordan Brand is a winner on pretty much any model, as proven on the above pictured Nike Women’s Big Nike High. The touch of patent leather adds a sneaker sophisticated touch to this pair, as does the lovely red satin inner sock lining. There also seem to be some kind of theme behind these kicks. If you look closely at the tongue tag (and given the shot, you can’t really get a great look), you’ll see something that looks to say “Rockas” with another word atop that isn’t as legible. Hmm, hopefully I’ll receive word on what that theme actually is soon :) Anyhoo, these are available now at street and footwear retailer DrJays.

*edit: The tongue tag says "Revolutionary Rockas" - could these be part of an upcoming pack???? We shall soon see :)
