So this Saturday I went up to North Riverside Mall to check out the House of Hoops Chicago Grand Opening. First off, I noticed that maddd people showed up, and the mall pulls a crazy amount of traffic as it is, so that was a good look off the bat. The folks at Foot Locker really went all out for the opening, with an in-store dj to keep the crowd moving, book signing, and a panel discussion featuring some of bball's well knowns hosted by ESPN's own Steven A. Smith (I even heard Scottie Pippen showed up, but I can neither confirm nor deny that lol). Inside the store, there was definitely a looot of heat. Wall to wall Nike and Jordan apparel and kicks. Most noted were the dozens of hyperdunks in special team colorways, Air Jordan Beginning Moments Pack (yes, that's right), NBA Blazer Pack, Slam City Air Force Ones (all four colorways), and of course we cannot forget about the Joe Johnson and Ray Allen Team Jordan PEs (which were already sold out by Saturday). Of course, there is plenty more in the store, so if you are in the Chicagoland area, you should definitely stop by on a weekly basis, as I am sure there will be many more exclusive releases and guest appearances to come.
