Kicks: Air Jordan Retro 1 - Hare

Also to be included in the Air Jordan 1 Easter Pack are these incredible "Hare 7" inspired AJ1s. The super simple colorway bring the legendary model into spring perfectly. These are scheduled for release on April 11th and will be available in mens and gs sizes, along with the Lola Bunny AJ1s we posted last week. Mens will retail at 110, so i'm assuming boys sizes will be cheaper - we'll see!

And They Say Chi-City: ClubHoops NikeID HyperDunk Contest

Today Niketown Chicago hosted a ClubHoops event promoting the inclusion of the Hyperdunk model on the NikeiD website. Guests were invited to create a custom iD Hyperdunk design to be entered for a chance to win the chosen design. Five finalists were picked - all of whom came up with some pretty neat colorways for the super durable Hyperdunk - which features special flywire structural technology. The audience helped choose the winner by round of applause and DJ Reality walked away with his "DeLaHype" Hyperdunk design. The ClubHoops Reps also gave us a sneak peak at a few sneakers to drop this April including the Lebron Soldier III, Nike Flight Club, and the anticipated Nike FP Fun Police. The event was mc'd by, none other than Leon Rogers and the good folks of WGCI radio who provided the toons for the afternoon. Sweet event and fun times all around. Kicks: Air Jordan WMNS 1 Retro - Hare

A few months ago, catalog sketches of three "Hare" themed AJ1s surfaced and excitement began to build. Wellz, today we have some real deal pics of the "Lola Bunny" Air Jordan 1 Retro dropping exclusively as a women's release. Tan and pink leather and suede cover the entire shoe and give it a more GS feel than an adult female feel imo. From the looks of the final product, some changes have clearly been made. Nevertheless, expect these to drop soon, like in April soon, and when specific release date info becomes available, sneakherbox.com will be sure to bring it to you!

Kicks: Reebok WMS Courtee Mid - Easter Pack

This week you've already seen some easter themed sneakers from the Swoosh camp, but not to be forgotten is Reebok. This year they bring the ladies a special Easter Pack of Courtee Mids - three in pastel colors - blue, yellow, and pink. Kicks: Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Premium White/White - Metallic Silver

For me, sneakers gained substance and meaning with my first pair of metallic jewel AF1s. I believe that many of us in the culture who started early will always have respect for the legendary model. Here I give you a shot of a new women's AF1 to release this spring. A white leather upper provides the base to a metallic silver flower pattern that blossoms at the heel of the shoe and slowly starts to drift toward the toe box. A silver outsole give the shoe a crisp finish. Expect these to drop in the US on April 28th, but if you must have em now, they are available for pre-order @ Kix-Files.com.

Could it Be (GS)? - "Space Jam" Air Jordan 11 to Return Holiday 2009

*sigh*

Sooooo this has to be nearly every Air Jordan aficionado's favorite pair. The colorway is unbeatable - black, super sick varsity blue jumpman, and slick icy sole *kisses finger tips in french manner* Oui Oui!!! As it officially released back in 2000, the Space Jam 11 is one of the most coveted jays because it was not an OG colorway - i.e. didn't release back in 95/96. It retroed in 2000 and has not been re-released since. I didnt have these when they dropped, and even if I did, it would not matter because I do not wear the same size anymore - 3.5Y back then btw lol. So with all the anticipation building up, I just wonder,

WILL THESE RETRO IN GRADE SCHOOL SIZES???

I certainly hope so. I mean, I seriously see no particular reason why they wouldn't, they're aren't an LS release ya feel me? *ends rant*

Sneak of the Week: Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Easter

As you might have guessed, the above pictured sneaker will be this year's official Easter themed Air Force One - Ladies Edition. We've seen the past easter AF1 all come draped in patent leather, well this year Nike has switched it up a bit. Sporting a primarily white leather base, the shoe is accented by a pink metallic marbled heel and lacelets, yellow laces, and baby blue outsole and sockliner. Not to fret, it looks as though the swoosh and heel tab may be patent leather lol. Okay so with all of those details, you might think, hey...besides the pastels, what really makes this an "Easter-themed" release? Wellz, check out the cracked easter eggs on the tongue label. A simple yet effective detail that brings the theme on home. Check for these now at Kicks/Hi.

House of Hoops Chicago: Kobe Bryant Special Appearance and Zoom IV Lower Merion Release

On Sunday, I headed over to House of Hoops Chicago in Northriver Side Mall to cover the Nike Zoom Kobe IV Lower Merion release with a special appearance by Kobe Bryant himself. There were tons of folks waiting outside of the store to get a glimpse of the 6'6 mega star. Inside the store, the HOH employees, select fans, Nike reps, and press were all buzzing with anticipation of the 3 time NBA Champ. As he entered the room, roars of "MVP" chants came from the crowd and you could really feel the fervor all around. Radio personality Leon Rogers of WGCI got some 1 on 1 time with Kobe and the two spoke on everything from how lightweight and efficient the Kobe IV model is to what other sport Kobe would be playing if not basketball *Football for the Eagles btw lol*. I, too, got the opportunity to ask Mr. Bryant a few questions, specifically wondering how important he felt it was to incorporate the same technology and aesthetics provided in the Zoom IV but for female athletes and also if he planned on doing a lifestyle collection for his line in the future. While it seems that Kobe and the Swoosh will be at work to create something the ladies can appreciate, we may have to hold our breath on a Kobe LS line, as the athlete says he is not yet interested in going in that direction. I had an awesome time at the event, and really got a chance to see how down to earth and engaging Kobe is. The fans enjoyed themselves as well, and we over at sneakherbox.com wish Kobe the best of luck this season!

You Should Know: Nike Zoom Kobe IV "Lower Merion" Release This Weekend @ House of Hoops Chicago

The man who has been burning up the courts for 13 years with his fiery playing style will be paying homage to his days as a Lower Merion HS basketball star with a new Nike Zoom Kobe IV colorway. The Zoom IV will feature the Philly, PA team colors of white and crimson red and tote an "Ace" emblem on the heel. Sweeeeeeeeeeet. Retailing at $120, they will be available this weekend at House of Hoops Chicago in Northriver Side Mall.

Could it Be (GS)? - Nike SB Dunk Hi "Gucci" To Release Soon?

So I'm sure you've been seeing this posted on sneaker sites all freaking weekend but Im putting a small footed spin on it and dropping this right in the Could it Be (GS)? category. Now we frequently see Nike SB dunk and blazer releases come in sizes as small as 4Y, but how often do we see the good stuff in these sizes?? Like quickstrike models and such, rarely right? So here's to hoping that if and when these lovely beauts do come out, the sneaker goddesses will show some love to ya girl *5Y representa whoot whoot* and the like who suffer from Small Feet Syndrome.

So I was over @ homegirl Blair Blanco's blog and I saw this more than upsetting post from my booski Kid Cudi's blog...saying that he's "falling back from the game." More or less, *and this is MY summary of it* he's had it with the nonsense people bring him over the success he's garnered over the past year or so, and he feels like he just wants to be rid of all the BS. I know it must be hella hard to be in that kind of position, in the spotlight, with all eyes on you 24/7, being criticized and/or ridiculed for doing you, randoms all in your face tryna be your bff - knowing they only want the notoriety or cash doski , it MUST SUCK BALLS! But its even more upsetting to me because I can see the potential in Cudi as an artist, and really would rather him not leave the game before he even gets his true recognition and before he even shows the world and his fans what he's capable of. Shits wack yo. So basically this post is me venting about it, and hoping he changes his mind. God is with you Cudi, don't give up!

Peek-A-Boo: Nike Sportswear WMS Spring 09 Blazer Collection

It seems as if the design squad over at the Swoosh are really digging deep into their collective creative pot to cook up some very eccentric colored sneakers. The Blazers featured in the Spring 09 line up all tote a variety of deep and bright colors with abstract graphic patterns.
