To say "I've slept on these" is the understatement of the century - when they dropped in 08 I was like meeeeeeeeh, but time went on and they started to grow on me. Then I had the opportunity to get a pair a year later (DS no less!) but hit the snooze button yet again, UGH! Maybe if I wish hard enough, they'll turn up again somewhere, third time's the charm, right?

Socialite Status: Aficionado Raging Bull AJ5 Release Party

I had the pleasure of attending a release party for the Air Jordan 5 DMP II Raging Bull pack a week ago. The event was held at super exclusive, members-only sneaker boutique, Aficionado Chicago. So I was over @ homegirl Blair Blanco's blog and I saw this more than upsetting post from my booski Kid Cudi's blog...saying that he's "falling back from the game." More or less, *and this is MY summary of it* he's had it with the nonsense people bring him over the success he's garnered over the past year or so, and he feels like he just wants to be rid of all the BS. I know it must be hella hard to be in that kind of position, in the spotlight, with all eyes on you 24/7, being criticized and/or ridiculed for doing you, randoms all in your face tryna be your bff - knowing they only want the notoriety or cash doski , it MUST SUCK BALLS! But its even more upsetting to me because I can see the potential in Cudi as an artist, and really would rather him not leave the game before he even gets his true recognition and before he even shows the world and his fans what he's capable of. Shits wack yo. So basically this post is me venting about it, and hoping he changes his mind. God is with you Cudi, don't give up!

Double Your Pleasure, Double Your Fun?

Just saw this over at "A Day In The Life Of..." and had to share it with you guys. I loves me some Chris Breezy and only recently caught feelings for his new song "Forever." Now it seems that the infamous line noted in the title of this blog post and mentioned in CB's song has a purpose. He has teamed up to do an ad for the Wrigley Company for Doublemint gum.

Sneak of the Week: 7.7.08 - 7.11.08

Peep these new Women's All Court's from Nike which my bff, SP, has dubbed "the old lady who can't see but puts up curtains" kicks. Despite her title, we really like the kicks because they are very eccentric and since I seem to be rackin up a bunch of metallic gold sneaks, I assume these fit the bill perfectly.

Soooooo...

Today I had a revelation...

I LOVE gum...like seriously always have a fresh pack on me. And I know I'm obsessed cuz I go dumb dumb when I see the big packs on sale for .97 at Target or Jewel.

My favorite flavor on the "robusty fruitacular side" would have to be the Strawberry Mint from Orbit (straight crack g)

And on the "keeping your breath minty fresh" side, I'm rolling with dat Spearmint from Extra

One thing that perplexes me tho is HOW THE FLUCK IS GUM SUGARFREE???

and oh yeah I like to keep the plastic wrapping on the package...keeps the freshness in daawwling!
